Case Study – Implant-Retained Dentures
Our 70 year-old patient’s case involved a two-staged implant-retained denture rehabilitation.
Implant-Retained Dentures
This patient’s case involved a staged implant-retained denture rehabilitation, with the lower arch completed first and the upper arch treated one year later following successful adaptation and healing.
The patient was concerned about loose and heavily damaged teeth in the lower jaw, as well as ongoing discomfort with their lower denture. After assessment, it was clear that the remaining teeth had a poor long-term outlook, and removing them was recommended to improve comfort and oral health. The patient was referred to Dr Andy Sharpe to explore options, including implant-retained dentures and All-on-4 dental implants.
